Pictures of Ein-Avdat
Home

All these pictures were taken at Ein-Avdat National park.

It is just south of Sede Boker kibbutz. The upper levels of the Avdat Heights are made from strata of hard white Eocene limescale
interspaced with thin seams of flint. Underneath these layers is softer rock, mainly clays. These differing types of rock, combined with
seasonal errosion caused by rain and floods created the local sceanary.
