We were up at five this morning, for the drive to Kakadu National Park the largest land based National Park in oz. It's world listed for both natural beauty and cultural heritage. We walked a few km to Gubara, where there's a little waterfall and a pool to swim & play in. It was only a short scramble round to 'Eden' pool where there was another waterfall and pool to splash about in. It's a tough life.

At Norlangie Rock we saw some recent (1960s) Aboriginal art painted by Baramundi Charlie.

Bowali Visitor's Centre was next for ice cream & video stop.

Sunset was beautiful this evening and we saw it from the top of Ubirr after seeing some of the best aboriginal art art in the country. Some of the art work was painted by spirits. Well that is the only viable explanation for the piece of art that was painted on the underside of an overhanging ledge 40ft in the air.

Back to the campsite - with its swimming pool, spa and bar.

To tomorrow
